About the role

SupportHub360 is seeking a quality focused Network Support Engineer to  join our team that is focused on administering and maintaining internal and hosted cloud solution infrastructure. The successful candidate must demonstrate a good understanding of Cloud Platforms and networking concepts as well as the ability to learn and develop skills .

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor IaaS and SaaS platforms
  • Support the Azure AD and IAM platforms including enterprise directory services and supporting server infrastructure
  • Manage virtual servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software
  • Ensure availability, reliability and scalability of corporate servers
  • Design and review of new server systems, applications, and hardware
  • Assist with efforts to convert applications to Kubernetes Containerised applications
  • Manage all network hardware (virtual and physical) equipment and configuration, including routers, wireless access points, switches, hubs, and UPSs
  • Support Users in escalating server, desktop, network, IaaS or SaaS issues from the IT Service Desk
  • Manage and provide guidance to junior members of the team
  • Assist with developing efficiency strategies for the IT Team, including automation within the server, network systems and at the administrative process level
  • Assist the IT Infrastructure Manager to develop IT skills 
  • Conduct Disaster Recovery, backup integrity and network availability testing on a regular cycle
  • Manage and monitor security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems
  • Implement policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure server, desktop, mobile device, network and end-user security
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access right
  • Assist with updating IT Policies and Procedures as required
  • Deliver friendly, courteous, patient, timely and outstanding service to all staff
  • Provide Primary IT Support for all staff at Client’s Head Office,  regional offices and overseas subsidiary locations in a backup capacity
  • Troubleshoot user issues & problem

IT Skills and abilities

  • Experience in and exposure to at least one major Cloud Platform such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud
  • Office 365 Management and deployment
  • General IaaS & SaaS management skills
  • Experience with Network / Firewall / Router configuration
  • DEVOPS – CI/CD  – Scripting and Automation Tools: Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash
  • Some experience with Containers Docker / Kubernetes and related technology Rancher

About you

To be successful, you will possess relevant experience in network support and administration . This will ideally be paired with some exposure to at least one major cloud platform.

Ideally you will have

  • The ability to acquire a quick contextual understanding of new processes and sift through large amounts of data to then articulate relevant information, requirements and technical solution
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • An enquiring mind with strong proactive analytics and problem-solving abilities
  • Degree in Computer Science and Business
  • Preferred experience in agile methodologies
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem solving and trouble shooting
