Odoo Functional Consultant

The following skills and experience will help qualify you for this role:

  • 5+ years of experience in Odoo
  • Successful track record of Odoo implementations both in functional and technical perspective
  • Proven Odoo implementation experience (management from start to finish of projects)
  • Accounting Business / Management / IT or related qualifications
  • Must be self-starter
  • Experience with all Odoo Enterprise standard modules
  • Experience with setup and managing Bitbucket, GitHub
  • Experience setting up Continuous Integration, automated deployment
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce, supply chain, logistics and finance
  • Project Management and Agile principles
  • Pre-Sales Involvement
  • Requirement Gathering, Specification and Design
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written
  • Functionally capable of integrating a fully customized business process
  • Technically capable to direct development and implementation
  • Technically capable to support client queries when required
  • Skills in developing and improving the Odoo framework and its core modules
  • Putting in place a framework for ensuring that Odoo best practices are adopted across all levels of the tool
  • Providing support and input to the sales team when required
  • Experience mentoring junior implementers / developers
  • Experience in setup and maintaining Odoo infrastructure
  • Setup and maintenance of customer Virtual Machines (VM)
  • Good knowledge of Linux
  • Installation and management of postgress db
  • Installation and maintenance of Odoo Software
  • Managing custom code repositories in bitbucket/ GitHub and updating Customer Production / Test environments
  • Ensure that VM are optimally setup and maintained
  • Trouble shoot issues that may arise
  • Have familiarity with SSL certificates and setup
  • Have familiarity with Nginx
  • A good working knowledge of Python
  • Familiarity with “front-end” technologies such as JavaScript, css, html, bootstrap
  • Knowledge of Software integration (e.g. Rest API, Web Services, XML_RPC)
  • Familiarity with source code repositories such as GIT and Bazaar
  • Strong knowledge of open-source development
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC)
